Story drabble thingie.

The feel of rain was like the sweet dreams of angels to him. There was something so intense about it; like a death defying thrill mixed with the highest pleasure. He was able to lift his head out of the water with out suffocating, with out burning with a scream of pain. The heavy moisture in the air supplying him with enough stability for his changing body to cling on to.

The rain itself though, how it shattered upon his leathery skin covered in the slick essence of sprites and lake water was like having delicate pearled cocoons splitting open for a rush of dissipating whispers. He could hear it all - life itself was held within each drop. The rush of how it was even possible was too much for his inquisitive mind setting him into a strange frenzy where he just opened his mouth to the sky and moaned in a mixture of emotions. Logic was hard to grasp as everything churned into layers of possessive hauntings.

A drop of the heaven sent water came into his mouth, fresh with thoughts and knowledge. His body jerked as if struck physically from the shock of the rain coming into his body. Everything was so clear for an instant.

His dark eyes looked up to the sky.

So that was it... that was the secret...
